Assistant doctor or specialist in urology
About the hospital
Our hospital (372 system beds) is one of the largest district hospitals in the region with a focus on specialty areas. In addition to the urology department, there are the following specialties: primary departments for general and visceral surgery, anesthesiology and intensive care medicine, gynecology and obstetrics, otorhinolaryngology, internal medicine with physiotherapy and rehabilitation, neurology, pediatrics, trauma surgery, psychiatry and psychotherapeutic medicine, as well as the institutes for radiology and nuclear medicine. Orthopedics is a specialty area.
The Department of Urology offers a broad spectrum of surgical and conservative urology and has a particular focus on urological oncology.
Become part of the robotic team
The BKH Lienz will purchase a DaVinci surgical robot in 2024 and our robotic team is currently being set up. In addition to experienced surgeons, this offers the opportunity to come into close contact with robotic surgery.
Teaching and training
The training authorization to become a specialist in urology is fully available and surgical training is very important to us. Expertise in medical didactics is available in the department. Training content can be completed across national borders.
Life and environment
The sunny town of Lienz offers 2000 hours of sunshine a year and its proximity to South Tyrol (Pustertal 40 km), the Adriatic Sea (2 hours), Lake Garda (3 hours) and the Carinthian mountain lakes, as well as a wide range of summer and winter sports (2 ski areas in the area). The proximity to Italy is clearly noticeable in the town. We are happy to help you find an apartment.
We look forward to receiving your application and are happy to offer you an internship so we can get to know you.
