About the hospital

The health center is a regional hospital network under municipal ownership and an academic teaching hospital of the Justus Liebig University of Giessen. Around 130,000 patients are treated as outpatients and inpatients every year at six locations. With around 850 beds and around 2,000 employees, the health center is one of the largest hospital networks in the region.

Your tasks

  • Integration into the clinical team; close cooperation with colleagues
  • Responsible and reliable care for inpatients
  • Learning diagnostic and therapeutic skills
  • Independent learning and implementation of new skills
  • Regular participation in the night and on-call services of the Department of Internal Medicine
  • Constructive cooperation with other clinics, hospitals and health care providers, especially with general practitioners

Requirements

  • You are a doctor (f/m/d) in further training to become a specialist (f/m/d) in internal medicine with the additional qualification in clinical geriatrics
  • Ideally, you have professional experience in clinical geriatrics
  • You are willing to learn the entire spectrum of geriatrics
  • You enjoy patient-oriented training
  • Your working style is team- and goal-oriented and characterized by a sense of responsibility and social competence
  • You are interested in the holistic medical care of multimorbid geriatric patients
  • You enjoy continuously developing and redesigning the clinic's procedures and processes for the benefit of patients
  • We require German approval
  • In accordance with the key points paper for the verification of the professional practice of the German language skills required in the academic health professions, proof
    to demonstrate technical German language skills at C1 language level
  • You have a valid work and residence permit
