About the hospital

The health center is a regional hospital network under municipal ownership and an academic teaching hospital of the Justus Liebig University of Giessen. Around 130,000 patients are treated as outpatients and inpatients every year at six locations. With around 850 beds and around 2,000 employees, the health center is one of the largest hospital networks in the region.

• a completed university degree in medicine

What we offer

• Individual training in a family-like team under good supervision towards independent patient care
• Structured training for up to three years in the inpatient clinical area with a fixed rotation curriculum in accordance with the requirements of the training regulations for general medicine
• Individual design of the rotation according to field of interest and WBO General Medicine 2020, also together with cooperation partners (internal medicine, surgery, neurology/stroke unit, psychiatry, psychosomatics, geriatrics, cardiology, angiology, palliative medicine, etc.)
• Regular training courses related to primary care
• Support in arranging a two-year internship in a training practice for the subjects of primary care
